SBC 350 ID

Hello new user here.

I just bought a complete 350 (#14088548) engine for a swap on my Monte SS with a 305 HO. The 350 engine code on the pad in front of the passenger head is stamped V0307URP & TGF579508. I have looked high and low and cannot find out what "URP" is supposed to be. I was told that the engine was a dealer installed replacement after the original engine blew in the 1991 Suburban it came from.

Does anyone know what the URP would be and why this block is actually an 86-88 block?

My information indicates that your engine is from a 1986 Chevrolet truck, 165 HP, Option LS-9 with 4 bbl carb. By all means, please feel free to stick around the forum and contribute where you can.
