Hi. I'm new here. I've got an 81 Jeep Scrambler that has an engine swap. I was told it was a 350 TPI, but have had difficulty identifying for certain, in addition to what year/model engine it is. This past weekend, I started having some alternator issues and now need to know for certain to ensure I'm getting the right parts. Problem is that I can't seem to get to the engine casing stamp. I did notice that on the bottom of the block there is a plate with a serial number though. I've not been able to identify the serial number anywhere, but the part number (12486041) suggests it is indeed a 350. Can anyone fill me in on the details of this engine plate's information?
