I have an an older 350. Around a 90 model. I recently purchased what i thought were vortec heads that would fit. However after getting them i believe they are ls heads and wont fit my gen 11 block. Casting on the alum heads is 862. Any help would be aporeciated

To help you decide if these heads will fit your engine, I need a little more information.
Could you look on the rear of the block for the block casting number?
Also, look the aluminum heads over for the casting number, it will be a 6, 7, or 8 digit number.
The 3 digit number you posted (862) is not a casting number.
Once you have the casting numbers, please post in this thread.
