Each of my valve covers have a hole. The drivers side has the pvc and I assume the passenger side cover has a hose which connects to the breather. I see breathers that do not have a connection for this hose. Would you just put the little small breather in place of this hose or is it always best to find the breather that has a connection for this hose?

Jason,

Typically, the valve covers with a hole on just one side used what was called a crankcase breather. It could be in several different variations depending on the year. Since your original engine was a 66-67 it probably came with the filler hole in the front of the intake that had the actual filter in the cap. Not all valve covers had the hole, some were vented with a fitting going into the carb or the intake.
