Just bought a new '47 Buick streetrod which has a crate 502 motor in it. I've got pages of all the custom work done to the car, but no detail on the engine at all and I'm trying to identify which one it is in order to get specs etc.
The block casting number by the distributor is 14096859 and from what I can see on this page it looks like its the GEN V HO 502 engine. The Date Casting number shows C313 - so I'm guessing that's March 31st possibly 1993 or 2003?
What's the best way to confirm exactly which model 502 this is, and then where is the best place to get the detailed engine specs/timing info? I see the documents on the Chevy website but I suspect they are only the current crate motors.
