on the block i have 5.7LG
SGI
on the front is VH234268

With the info you posted it could be an L98 350 engine. Is it fuel injected?

I'm curious about this too. The only information I can find is on 193 heads. That's clearly an 8! 183

If you look down the push rod side of the intake port can you see a vane cast in the bowl area ?
