Big Block Chevy V8 block casting number confusion-need help

Have a 1972 Chevelle purchased not too long ago, and was researching the block and cylinder head casting numbers as wanted to know what I really have versus the 454 was told was in the car. Found cylinder head information okay, fine with what found (396 heads). But today looked at the block casting number and here is what is on the block -- M015446. Do not see that number ever listed as a big block casting number so have not a clue as to what I have when it comes to this big block with 396 heads on it. Thank you for any help or reply that can be provided, or further questions. Engine is still in the car as it is a running vehicle.

Been told on another web site that I have misread the number and it should actually be 14015445 not begin with a M as my eyes see it when I look at it. will investigate further and resolve.
