Bb 454 casting exists but suffix doesnt

so i am able to look uo the casting number of 14015445 wich comes up as a 78-90 454 2 or 4 bolt. is there any way to find out more about the motor. was nothing changed in that years span? the suffix number stamped into the block above the timing chain cover reads J14XXZ9 and i believe the date code is C319. i tried calling the local dealership but help there at all. thanks again
