Thank you in advance for your help. My loves old trucks and is currently working to restore a 1972 Chevy K20 pick up. We have removed the engine and are looking to identify it. I have attached pictures. It seems the engine code is F I 71. Cleaning it more today. Also we are confused on the other code 14014440 with a 16 underneath and GM on the end. Sorry pictures will not upload. Working to reduce size.

At the back of the block if you find casting number 3914653 that would confirm the 307 status
See if you can get the casting number from under the v/v cover and that will tell ya what heads are on there.
