350 SBC identification

Hi I could really use someone’s help, I have a 350 motor I have started to rebuild, but I do not know what it is from. I have the code 3970010 on the back of the motor and in the front by the head I have my suffix code and another, but this is where it gets weird at the end of the suffix code it has been grinded down and replaced by TKA, you can see the TKA is deeper and stamped differently than the others. But i can still see and read the old one, but not perfectly, it looks like a C or half a 0 I don’t know and the next one I have no clue but I can see the top and it looks like the top of a 3 so I don’t know if its a 3, 8, 2, p or a R, I have no idea. The last one I can read perfectly and it is a T, so my code goes like this, K06 10 C_T, I think, if not the grinded one is K06 10 TKA. And below it I have another one that is, C81165908. My head numbers are 462624. so I was wondering what I have for a block or if anyone could help me?

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Pretty much all the Engine Suffix Codes that are T, Tx or Txx (where x = any letter) are truck r equipment engines, like buses, police cars, large trucks, C60's and up.
Once in a while you'll see a T series code engine in a Camaro or Le Mans, something like that.
Also GM reused these suffix codes, some several times, that kind of adds to the confusion.
So, seems the 're-stamped' code on your engine was used twice;
TKA - 1976 - 350 CID conv.cab L LS9 - 165 HP - 4 BBl - C-10 & 1500
TKA - 1978 - 350 CID conv. cab, m/t L LS9 - 165 HP - 4 BBL - C-10 & 1500
So, you definitely got a 350, and from the re-stamped suffix code either a 1976, or 1978 truck engine.

I have no idea why what seems like the original code was ground off, but things happen.

Chevrolet 5.7 ing un sure wha.
I have a 350chevrolet ing with the code on the front of the block is VO9117AN WHAT IS IT OUT OF
