- 1960 Bel-air Chevrolet
Hello all,
I am seeking information on a 283 chev starter motor. The number stamped into the housing is 1107664 but when i search for a replacement on line all the units are for corvettes. Is this the same unit used in both models? Do I have to get my unit rebuilt? Its out of a 1960 Chevrolet Bel-air with a power glide. Its the unit that bolts to the bell housing and not the block. There are units on ebay for sale but as we are in Australia i don't wish to purchase one to find it is incompatible once it spends 3 weeks in travel. Are they all the same or are there unique parts to each one.
Regards
