Hello NOVASTRESS and welcome to the forum, thanks for posting!
:)

The number you've posted, from the passenger side, front pad (behind the alternator), v0482400, begins like a Engine Assembly Code.
But, these Engine Assembly Codes normally end in three letters, like; V0112CLJ, it is decoded like this; V-0112-CLJ, V = Norwood (Ohio),
engine assembly plant, 0112, Date Code, January 12, CLJ = Engine Suffix Code = 1973, 350 cid, m/t, 4 spd, Z28, 245 HP,4 bolt main, Z-28/Kingswood (vehicle assembly plant),
or, 1991, 305 cid, LB9, F body (Camaro or Firebird), 205 HP, TPI, Firebird.
Engine Suffix Codes are often reused.
I'm thinking the last three digits in this number is possibly three letters, last two, 00, could well be oo (letters), the 4, could be several letters.
:?

On this pad, passenger front, behind the alternator and usually partially obscured by a fuel line (runs behind the alternator), there normally are two numbers that are hand stamped;
the Engine Assembly Code, it would look like this; V0112CLJ (discussed above), normally above.
The other number would be the Engine Partial VIN Code and would look like this; 13N132794, normally stamped below.
Could you possibly double check the numbers to be sure all characters are read?
Sometimes these numbers are lightly stamped and require a lot of wiping with solvent and sometimes wire brushing to clean enough to get a good read, with a strong flashlight.
If you discover additional numbers or letters, or a different sequence for the numbers and letters you have, please post the results.
As it stands, this number, v0482400, is not decodeable, it doesn't fit any applicable format.

The number from the drivers side, rear of the block, 3970010, is the Block Casting Number.
3970010 - Block Casting Number - 1969, 302 cid, 290 HP, 4 bolt main, 1969 - 1979, 350 cid, 145, 165, 175, 200,
245, 250, 255, 270, 295, 300, 330, 360, 370 HP, 2 & 4 bolt main (4 bolt main most common).
This is a very common Block Casting Number, cast from 1969 through 1979, it was primarily used for 350 cid
engines of many HP outputs (see above), far and away the majority of these engines were 4 bolt mains.
It was made into a 302 in 1969 only.

I hope some of this info helps some!
If you can check the numbers on the passenger front pad again and observe different characters, or a different sequence of characters, please post the new numbers.

That's possible, but I haven't seen any indication of a crate motor.
I think, it's a late '60's, or very early '70's engine, before the federal regulations on engine code stamping (went into effect in the 1972 model year) was enacted.
Back in the day, this was somewhat causally done, but under the new federal regulations, became much more dependable and specific format drive.

Hope this helps!

Any luck ID'ing the engine? I have the same exact numbers on my 350 in a 1976 Elcamino. I can't find any info either.
