I recently purchased a 72 Camaro that has a BBC in it. I have lpoked everywhere to find out what the motor is. The casting #is 3998289. All I have found is #3999289.
I pulled the valve covers to see what the casting # was on the heads and it has #3931063,E69 and GM3T. The heads I have found to be 69-70 396/427.
Is it possible that the block is as well? Any help would be appreciated.
