The engine code under the passenger side head is V10103D. I have a very clear look at this and do not think there are any other numbers i.e. no Vin related numbers are visible and D is the last and only letter. Checking various engine code sites, I am guessing it is a 302 because all of the choices that have D on the end are 302's. I am a little concerned though because all of the numbers in the lists have either two or three suffix code letters, not just one like this appears to have.
I can not find a block code. On the rear block flange drivers side is clearly stamped GM and nothing else. I can not find any thing at all on the rear flange passenger side. I cannot find any numbers in the vicinity of the oil filter.
Any help would be appreciated.
