1972 Chevy C10
About 4 months ago i picked up a 1972 Chevy C10 long bed. I know based on the VIN it was originally a 350 2 barrel truck. However, i don't think the current engine is the original 350. The stamp tag on the driver rear of the engine is 14010207, which based on my research is 1980-1985 350 (2 or 4 bolt main). The date stamp on the passenger rear of the engine I believe says "I 12 3", which might be Sept 12, 1983? The pad on the front of the engine near the passenger head looks like it has "V0928FSD" and "CEJ1127 78". Any help deciphering these codes is greatly appreciate. Thanks.

Its smart that you figured out the date code cause that narrows it down alot, You might get lucky looking up those numbers in a 1983 square body GM factory service manual. Look for the page like the one i attachedIMG_2350.JPG
